How To Discover Your "Why?"
I Wish I'd Know This When I Got Started....
By Michael S. Clouse

If I could go back in time and give my younger self some getting started Network Marketing advice, this would be it...

There is a little-known secret to building a successful Network Marketing business and the Greek philosopher Aristotle, who lived from 384-322 B.C., summarized it beautifully when he wrote, "The things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them."

Today, more than twenty-three hundred years later, most Networkers will eventually discover for themselves that in the pursuit of our "Why?" we will progressively learn the "How?"

For me, this little-known secret turned out to be extraordinarily true...

Indeed, Network Marketing leaders around the World agree, the person who has a clear, complete, and compelling reason "Why?" will outpace, outperform, and outproduce the person who simply knows "How?"

Because the person who knows "Why?" will, as they knowingly or unknowingly follow Aristotle's advice, discover the things they needed to learn before they could build their Network Marketing business, were indeed the things they learned as they built their Network Marketing business.

So what about you? Are you focusing on your clear, complete, and compelling reason "Why?" you're building your Network Marketing Empire? Or are you, like most people, only focusing on "How?" you're building your Network Marketing business?

Now keep in mind that in the beginning even if your "Why?" is as simple as mine was, "To make more money!" over time you will probably want to decide how much money, and what all those additional dollars are for...

Perhaps you will use some of your newly earned capital to pay for a housekeeper, or a gardener, or even a nanny - after all they really don't cost much, and yet their services can free up a fair amount of your time so you can continue building your business, enjoying your life and focusing on your future.

Stop and think for just a moment about what life would look like if you had both time and financial freedom?

For me, I love to travel. Whether I'm working with my team, or booked as a keynote speaker, I enjoy flying in a day or two before the event, and sometimes staying a day or two after - just to have a look around. What about you? Will you be traveling more when you have both time and financial freedom?

In addition to traveling, entertaining friends over a nice sit-down dinner is almost a weekly event; enjoying great food, interesting conversation, and enough dinner guests to ensure a memorable evening. What about you? Will you be the one entertaining, or would you prefer being entertained when you have both time and financial freedom?

I am also a collector of books. In fact, wherever I find myself - home, the States, or abroad - not too many days will pass by before I will make my way into one of the few remaining book stores where I enjoy looking for books by the pioneers of personal development: How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, The Magic of Believing by Claude M. Bristol, As A Man Thinketh by James Allen, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason, The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino, or The Magic of Thinking BIG by David J. Schwartz, just to name a few. And when I find these classics, I buy them, bring them to my next engagement and give them away. What about you? Will you be enjoying the classics as much as I do when you have both time and financial freedom?

Again, I ask, if you had both the time and the money, what would you do with your life?

If you're not sure what you would do with your life, then invest a few minutes answering the following three questions, and you'll be well on your way to discovering your "Why?" and understanding the life you want to live:

1) What would it take to get you up early in the morning? 2) What would it take to keep you up late into the evening? 3) How would you choose to live your life if you had both the time and the financial resources available to you?

Your answers to those questions will reveal your passion - what it would take to get you up early and to keep you up late - and take you one step closer to the real reason for living your life - one step closer to discovering your "Why?"

Therefore, if you're ready to create both time and financial freedom... If you're ready to begin building a BIGGER business and living a better life, then take a few minutes and evaluate where you are right now: About to get started? Already running the race? Close to the finish line?

And because successfully pursuing your "Why?" will progressively require you to learn "How?" choose one area of your business to improve every month and go to work on learning the skills of prospecting, presenting, duplicating, or leadership.

Treat your business like a business by investing your money in the right books, audio programs, and by attending the recommended events. And then take action, and consistently apply the little-known secret of Aristotle, "The things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them."

Yes, If I could go back in time and give my younger self some getting started Network Marketing advice, this would be it... Go for the money; take immediate action; and progressively go to work on getting better over time!

If you believe you deserve the opportunity to design, create, and live YOUR magnificent life, then take your first step now!

All the best,

MSC
